Our winemaker, Stephanie Van Dyk, brings over 17 years of experience to Sandhill where her passion and unique style shines through producing truly distinct, terroir-driven wines.

Born in Dawson Creek, BC and raised in Calgary, AB, her journey to winemaking started in the fine dining industry. After gaining several years of experience in the industry, Stephanie was inspired to pursue a career in winemaking, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Oenology and Viticulture from Brock University.

Van Dyk has experience working with both small and large wineries in the Okanagan through leading top domestic portfolios in the BC wine industry. In addition to Sandhill, Stephanie is the winemaker for Peller Family Reserve BC VQA and Good Natured which is a new emerging VQA brand. Stephanie's passion for VQA wines, diverse expertise in winemaking styles and growing regions throughout the Okanagan allow her to bring her unique style forward with her wines.

Since joining Andrew Peller Limited in the summer of 2017, she has also worked in collaboration with other winemakers on brands including Sandhill Wines, Wayne Gretzky Estates, Conviction, Raven Conspiracy, Stone Road, Red Rooster Winery and Gray Monk Estate Winery.

The mother of three takes every opportunity to make the most of the Okanagan lifestyle, spending free time with family and friends. Stephanie is a lover of the breathtaking scenery in the Okanagan and the incredible bounty of local food and wine the area has to offer.
